Summary

The Faculty of Engineering is delighted to be offering our Faculty of Engineering International Scholarship to all eligible undergraduate, self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying offer holders joining a course in September 2025.

If you’re applying for an undergraduate degree course, you’ll receive a scholarship award equivalent to a 10% reduction of your fees for each year of study. Your first year’s scholarship will typically be £2,935*.

This scholarship will be awarded automatically and no application is necessary. Please note that the scholarship details will be added to your student record once payment of the deposit has been received, and the funds will be automatically deducted from your overall tuition fees.

The amount varies for selected courses with a different fee, including courses within Architecture & Biomedical Engineering.

Eligibility

Scholarship decisions will be made based on information contained in your undergraduate admissions applications.

Important things to note:

  • If you’re applying for an undergraduate degree course, you’ll receive a scholarship award equivalent to a 10% reduction of your fees for each year of study. This is typically £2,935 for your first year of study on courses with a fee of £29,350. The amount varies for selected courses with a different fee, including courses within Architecture and Biomedical Engineering.
  • The Faculty of Engineering’s International Scholarships are only available to eligible self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying applicants enrolling on a full-time course within the University of Strathclyde’s campus in Glasgow.
  • Those who receive full sponsorship from a government office or embassy are not eligible for this scholarship.
  • In order to be considered for a scholarship an applicant must hold an offer to study a full-time course in the 2025/26 academic year.
  • Students are only eligible for one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde.
  • Students who do not meet any of the required criteria in this announcement will automatically not be considered.
  • The Faculty of Engineering’s decision on the awarding of scholarships is final.
