- Erasmus Mundus Scholarship holders receive a monthly allowance of 1,400 euros during a maximum of 24 months of study
- The monthly allowance should cover all costs related to travel, accommodation, and other living expenses
- Erasmus Mundus Scholarship holders are exempted from paying program participation costs (including registration to the mandatory medical, assistance, accident, baggage, and personal liability insurance)
- Students from all nationalities can apply for an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship
The deadline to apply for an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for student intake 2024 is 28 February 2025.
The IMSOGLO Student Selection Group, with representatives of all partner universities, awards scholarships by ranking all applications based on previous academic achievements, CV, and motivation. Applicants will be notified about the outcome of the scholarship selection before April 2025.
Appeal
If you do not agree with the outcome of the IMSOGLO Student Selection Group, an appeal can be filed to imsoglo@ugent.be. The decision of the Selection Group will not be changed unless the applicant can prove that the Committee made an objective mistake while evaluating the candidate.

ToggleStudents with Special Needs
IMSOGLO offers financial contributions to students with special needs. They will be used for enrolled students (with or without Erasmus Mundus scholarship) with disabilities (e.g. long-term physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory impairments), such as those related to the acquisition of special items or services (e.g. assistance by third persons, adaptation of work environment, additional travel/transportation costs).
After you have been awarded admission to IMSOGLO in April 2025, contact imsoglo@ugent.be in case you have special needs and you wish to apply for a financial contribution.
